Job Description:

A company is looking for an Infection Preventionist.
Key Responsibilities

Conducts surveillance for healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and prepares reports for the Infection Control Committee
Interacts with clinical staff to provide consultation and make recommendations regarding infection control policies and procedures
Assists in the development and delivery of infection control education programs for employees

Required Qualifications

Current RN license with BSN preferred, or a Master's in Public Health (MPH), or a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field
Minimum of two years clinical experience in a hospital setting or disease surveillance experience in a public health setting
Must achieve Certification of Infection Control (CIC) within specified time frame after gaining relevant experience
Active Basic Life Skills certification required for those in acute or ambulatory job locations
Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required for specific job locations at the time of hire
